Rail passes
This List shows a selection of the many passes that are available
worldwide. The passes shown are valid for the whole national rail network unless
otherwise stated.
All prices are 2nd class. Validity is unlimited unless
stated otherwise. We have not included summertime-only or limited availability
tickets, or supplements.
Abbreviations used: IR = Inter-Rail Card, IR+ = Inter-
Rail over 26 Card, FP = Freedom Pass/Euro Domino.

Card

You must be under 26 yrs when
you start. You must have been resident in Europe for more than 6 months. Card
includes 24-hour helpline; legal assistance; retail discounts. Card is divided into 7
zones. Prices as follows:

You must be over 26 yrs when you

travel: £215 or
£275.

Freedom
Pass (Euro Domino)

3, 5 or 10 days
unlimited travel within 1 month. Tickets: Adult 1st Class, Adult 2nd Class, Under
26, Child. Prices vary according to country. Includes some local supplements. A
passport is required. Valid in all European countries except: Albania, Bosnia-
Herzegovina, and ex-Soviet republics.

Available to US citizens, these allow a
variety of discount fares and types of pan-European rail
travel.

Youth Pass: 25% discount for
